The city of Derna, Lybia, has been partially demolished in last night’s floodings when #StormDaniel destroyed dams and caught citizens off guard. There have been confirmed 61 fatalities, but current estimation predicts over 2,000 dead as 7,000 people are missing.
The disaster left by #StormDaniel is the responsibility of everyone in power in #Libya. The fact that it was known the storm would hit Libya after Greece but no evacuation plans or any form of mitigation was put in place can say so much! People were simply left to die.
